Student Opportunities

Graduate Research Assistant

Supervisor: Dr. Jinjiao “Jasmine” Wang

Job Description

Responsible for data cleaning, data merging, data management, and conducting analyses using multiple national CMS datasets under the supervision of Dr. Wang. These datasets will arrive in physical form (e.g., on a thumb drive) and will need to be extracted, cleaned, merged, and prepared as analysis-ready datasets.

Skills and Qualifications
  • Experience cleaning and merging large CMS datasets.
  • Experience conducting analyses using merged datasets.
  • Proficiency with Stata, SAS, R, or other statistical software suitable for large-scale data analysis.
Hours

19.5 hours per week

Employment Term

Temporary, 1 Year

Start Date

July 27, 2026

This position is ideal for individuals seeking experience in data science or academia. Opportunities may include joining and leading manuscripts for publication in high-impact journals. Postdoctoral Fellow – Chronic illness management, Aging, Caregiving, and Digital Health Research

The School of Nursing at the UT San Antonio Health Science Center invites applications for a Postdoctoral Fellow to join an interdisciplinary research program focused on chronic illness management (e.g., cancer, Alzheimer’s disease and related dementias [ADRD]) among older adults and their caregivers, as well as digital health research addressing non-medical determinants of health.
