Financial Aid and Scholarships
Thanks to generous support from UT Health scholarship donors, School of Nursing students have the opportunity to compete for significant scholarships in the fall, spring, and summer. To be considered for scholarships, students must first complete a FAFSA application and then submit the UT Health general scholarship and application located in the Student Portal.
Please read the information below regarding the fall 2017 scholarship application.
Once completed, your application will remain on file for the entire 2017/2018 aid year.
Please login to the Student Portal to complete the online scholarship application. Please see Federal Aid Year Scholarship Application Instructions on submitting the scholarship application.
The scholarship essay requirement is integrated into the scholarship application. The response box is small and it looks like there is not a lot of room to type your essay response into the application, however, once you start typing the essay box will expand. You also have the option to copy and paste your essay into the required section. Please keep your essay length at 300 words or less.
Please note: to be considered for scholarships you must complete a Federal Application for Financial Aid (FAFSA) for the 2017/2018 academic year. If you have not completed this application, go to www.fafsa.ed.gov to complete this process. The HSC School of Nursing code (FICE) is 003659. Regardless of your financial background, to be eligible for scholarships, you MUST submit a FAFSA. The scholarship application link will not be available on your student portal until the FAFSA application has been received and processed.
Please contact the Financial Aid Office (210-567-2635) if you have any questions.
