Undergraduate Criteria

Purple Horizontal Rule


Purpose: To recognize the achievement of academic scholarship of superior quality. Because achievement of superior scholarship demonstrates leadership, creativity, and overall ability in nursing, membership at this level is based upon the student’s grade point average.

Note: Undergraduate students are eligible to apply for membership for one year following graduation, however it is the applicants' responsibility to initiate this process.

Undergraduate Criteria

  1. Have completed one-half of the nursing curriculum
  2. Cumulative grade point average of at least a 3.0 on a 4.0 grading scale or its equivalent
  3. Ranking of scholarship in the upper 35% of their graduating class
  4. Meet the expectation of academic integrity

Flex Student Criteria

  1. Have completed 12 credit hours at current school
  2. Must be in the 2nd or 3rd semester and have completed 1/2 of the nursing curriculum
  3. Cumulative grade point average of at least a 3.0 on a 4.0 grading scale or its equivalent
  4. Ranking of scholarship in the upper 35% of their graduating class
  5. Meet the expectation of academic integrity

Early Masters Student Criteria

  1. Must be in the 2nd or 3rd semester and have completed 1/2 of the nursing curriculum
  2. Cumulative grade point average of at least a 3.0 on a 4.0 grading scale or its equivalent
  3. Ranking of scholarship in the upper 35% of their graduating class
  4. Meet the expectation of academic integrity
