President's Message

THE HONOR SOCIETY OF NURSING, SIGMA THETA TAU INTERNATIONAL
DELTA ALPHA AT-LARGE CHAPTER

Dear Delta Alpha-at-Large Members,

I am exceptionally grateful and proud to serve the Delta Alpha Chapter for the next two years. I have served on the Board of Directors since 2004. At the end of this September I will attend the Sigma Theta Tau Leadership Academy in Indianapolis Indiana and hope to gain additional expertise for the development of our local chapter.

It is my aim to equally maintain and build the momentum of our honor society. In order to achieve this endeavor it will be important to focus on the context of current projects in progress as well as those on the horizon. Within the framework of the organization priorities have been established, local chapter processes are being developed, and the promotion of Delta Alpha Chapter progress is being employed through the engagement of the many talented members.

The mission of our honor society is to endorse nursing education, advance scholastic research and equally important contribute to community service through outreach projects.  A personalized approach has been applied through offering both professional and academic scholarships. Likewise community projects which promote health are provided with assistance through our chapter funds. Your comments and suggestions for the betterment of Sigma Theta Tau Delta Alpha-at- Large Chapter are welcomed. Please send an email with ideas, thoughts and suggestions. 

I am extremely appreciative to the board of directors and chapter members for their support, dedication and donation of both their time and extraordinary skills.
