Graduate Criteria

Purple Horizontal Rule


Purpose: To recognize the achievement of scholarship of superior quality, development of leadership qualities, and commitment to nursing. Because achievement of superior scholarship demonstrates leadership, creativity and overall ability in nursing, membership at this level is based upon the student’s grade point average.

Graduate Students (Masters, Post-Masters, Doctoral, Post-Doctoral)

Criteria

  1. Required to complete one-fourth of the program of study (9 hrs. for Community or 12 hrs for Nurse Practitioner /Clinical Nurse Specialist Majors)
  2. Required to achieve a 3.5 GPA on a 4.0 scale or its equivalent (Doctoral students must have a 3.75 GPA on a 4.0 scale or its equivalent)
  3. Meet the expectation of academic integrity
