Dean’s Message to Alumni
"The UT Health Science Center San Antonio School of Nursing has been at the forefront of nursing education for more than 40 years. We have consistently demonstrated excellence in nursing leadership through our innovative teaching, quality research, compassionate care and community service for our South Texas community and beyond. Our success is evident every day in the work of more than 11,000 nursing alumni around the world.
The School of Nursing Alumni Association is committed to delivering lifelong value to our graduates. As our alumni population continues to grow, my goals are to communicate more frequently with our graduates and to celebrate their many successes ensuring that our association offers programs, activities, and resources to help you stay connected with fellow alumni and involved with your alma mater. We are currently in the building phase, we look forward to this fall as we implement events, networking opportunities and other initiatives that are designed to facilitate interaction among alumni and foster their professional development while increasing their engagement in the School of Nursing.
I am interested in hearing your ideas about the services and opportunities we can provide to help you stay connected with each other and involved in the School of Nursing. I also encourage you to join HSConnect to enjoy the full range of benefits such as connecting with other graduates and posting class notes.
The outreach that is provided by this school and the experiences available to our students is due in large part because of the generosity of our alumni and friends. Your passion for education and commitment to the nursing profession directly impacts the future of students and the quality of healthcare we provide. Your gifts ensure that individuals with the aspiration and dedication to become nurses are given the opportunity to receive the best education possible.
Thank you for your commitment to the future of nursing."
