Acute Nursing Care:
The Department of Acute Nursing supports faculty teaching in the areas of Medical-Surgical
and Acute Care Nursing, and in Leadership and Administration. The department is
responsible for four undergraduate, fourteen masters, and four doctoral program

The Department of Chronic Nursing Care supports faculty teaching excellence, scholarship,
addressing basic and RN/LVN to BSN student education, and health disparities in
chronic illness, particularly diabetes and aging within community settings.

The Department of Family Nursing Care supports faculty teaching in the areas of
Family Nursing Care, Pediatrics, Obstetrics, Psychiatric-Mental Health Care, as
well as Gerontological, Family, Pediatric and Psych-Mental Health Nurse Practitioner
