Programs of Science

The Office of Nursing Research and Scholarship (ONRS) and the School of Nursing Centers of Excellence support faculty programs of science that:

• Explore, describe, predict, or influence interprofessional education, state of science teaching environments, skills needed to improve health (biological as well as social and behavioral sciences);

• Explore, describe, predict, or influence innovative models of patient care for:
  • populations that are at high risk for serious debility,
  • populations that are financially vulnerable,
  • conditions that reflect disparities across the populations, and
  • methods for supporting client participation in decisions about their health; and

• Explore, describe, predict, or influence the promotion and restoration of health and provision of safe/high quality patient care, especially to the most ill and poorest populations.
