The School of Nursing Center for Community Based Health Promotion in Women and Children has partnered with the Center for Health Care Services, BEAT AIDS, Mujeres Contra El Sida, Community Pediatrics and the FFACTS Clinic to bring education healthcare and education to the forefront in lost to care HIV-infected individuals. The purpose of the project is to implement change at the systems level by collaborating with community agencies to strengthening relationships, promote communication and client accessibility of service among local service providers. Further client changes are expected by improving service integration for substance abusing HIV/AIDS infected individuals with co-occurring mental illness. Jane Dimmitt Champion PhD, FNP, CNS and Andrea Longoria, MA are adapting the Project Safe curriculum for Project Seek and Andrea Longoria will be providing the workshops for the program.
