FLEXIBLE Process Program: Welcome

Greetings

As Director of our Flexible Process Track in the Baccalaureate Nursing Program I have the pleasure of officially welcoming you on behalf of the faculty, the staff and myself. We are very glad you are here and pledge to collaborate with you to co-create educational experiences that will stimulate your professional development. One of the wonderful things about Flex is that each of us comes with a rich and varied background, full of unique knowledge, perspective and experience, thus we have much to learn from each other. As a matter of fact, I think you will find our program ripe with opportunities to collaborate with fellow students and faculty as well as our community partners. You will also find a variety of options and strategies designed to assist you in progressing through the program in ways that work best for you.

That’s part of how I can assist you, as a resource on how to make the most of your time here, and on how to best navigate the system. Your experience here depends on many people and on many things, the more engaged you are the more positive it can be. So, let us know your vision, ideas, needs, frustrations, successes, etc.  My door is open, during office hours and otherwise, and there is always the phone and email. Please feel free to use them. The part of this position for me that is the most enjoyable and satisfying is working with you as you move through the program, watching you grow and develop new understanding and skills, learning from you along the way, and then watching you fly off into your future. It is a privilege to share that process with you.

Flexible Process Course Progression

The Flexible Process Track has three separate but related paths. Each is a bit different so we have provided links to each so you may view the details for the one that specifically relates to you, and if you are curious, you can see what your peers are up to. Each will show you full and part time options, semester by semester and course by course and give you brief course descriptions and course objectives. They will also inform you about which courses may be taken Credit by Exam (a testing out process) and how many elective hours you may need.
