Alumni Opportunities for Involvement

Our Nursing Alumni represent the best in the country and it is our hope to bring more of you back to campus each year. We offer a variety of opportunities to stay connected with Penn Nursing student programs, alumni events and reunions, and becoming a member of our Alumni Resource List. Please take a look at the list below and tell us how you would like to get involved.

Connecting with Students

• Living Endowment Scholarship:
  The Living Endowment Program is designed to add continuity to our scholarship program.  This continuity will permit the School of nursing to plan ahead in the recruitment of the best and the brightest students and aid in retention of current students.  With a minimum commitment of a $500 scholarship each year for three years, you will provide a student at your nursing school with the opportunity to achieve his/her dream.

• Alumni Resource List::
  To offer a broad range of alumni volunteers to meet the needs of students. You can be our first resource to answer specific questions from students, to share your experience with student groups or classes, or to feature your story in our publications. An opportunity for you to collaborate with faculty and staff to share the breadth and depth of nursing roles and to support our students in selecting their nursing direction.  

Connecting with Alumni

• Brick Program:
  You are invited to commemorate your graduation, honor a loved one, or pay tribute to family, friends, and anyone else who made a lasting impact on your education. Current students as well are invited to purchase a brick in honor of friends, colleagues, or faculty. Memorial bricks are also a part of the Alumni & Friends Courtyard. Upon your request, we will send notification of your contribution toward this cause to the name and address you provide. What a memorable gift to someone who has made a difference to your education!
  
  
• Share your Story:
  To help us capture the variety of talents and experience that UTHSCSA Nurses give to others, share your personal story with the School. An opportunity to help us tell our full alumni story for prospective and current students, honor your achievements and advocate for resources.
  
  
• Distinguished Alumni Award Nominations:
  To recognize the achievements of all UTHSCSA Nursing alumni. Nominate your classmates, friends or colleagues to help us acknowledge the outstanding accomplishments that our alumni have made to the profession and the health of the broader community. An opportunity for you to celebrate your fellow alumni and their gifts.
