Nurse Educator and Scholar 0120 | Contact | Top
The Department of Chronic Nursing Care at the University of Texas Health Science Center at San Antonio (UTHSCSA) seeks one nurse educator and scholar with a strong background in nursing education to join our dynamic faculty in 2008.
The successful candidate will:
- Have a master’s degree with a clinical specialty in Community Health or Medical-Surgical Nursing
- Be eligible for a tenure track or clinical appointment as Assistant or Associate Professor
- Teaching experience in an undergraduate and/or graduate nursing program is preferred.
UTHSCSA is composed of five schools: Medical, Dental, Allied Health Sciences, Basic Sciences and Nursing. The School of Nursing has BSN, MSN, and PhD programs, and includes a LVN/ BSN and RN/BSN degree completion option. In addition to health care delivery sites available for research and practice, the School houses Centers for Health Disparities, Health Promotion for Women and Children and Evidence Based Practice.
Examples of present scholarly foci include:
- Chronic Illness
- Professional Values
- Diabetes Management
- Pain Management/ Palliative Care
- Professional Education
