8th Annual Spring Nursng Preceptor Conference: Advancing Professional Practice

 

To be held Saturday, May 3, 2008

The day provides free nursing continuing education credit to the RN who mentors, both civilian and military and that support our undergraduate/graduate clinical students.

The conference addresses a variety of health concerns across the life span.

12th International Nursing Learning Resource Centers Conference

June 12-14, 2008

San Jose, CA

Audience: The conference is aimed at faculty and staff development nurses working with high-fidelity simulation, psychomotor skill education, or evaluation of learner performance.

In the face of a major nursing shortage and funding challenges, the learning resource center plays a pivotal role in nursing education and practice whether it's in the traditional skills lab, the media and computer lab, of the simulation lab. Participants may teach in a large or small institution, with various levels of funding.

Conference to be held July 15-18, 2008

Participants will have an opportunity to discuss innovative clinical strategies that address Hispanic health disparities throughout the lifespan, expose current research that impacts Hispanic healthcare, identify innovative strategies to improve health care in rural Hispanic communities and discuss behavioral and socioenvironmental factors that contribute to Hispanic health status and care.
